Elevate Your Team’s Image:

A Guide to Corporate Team Headshot Sessions

If you're considering headshots for your team, you're in the right place. I work with businesses throughout Northern Kentucky and the Cincinnati area to create headshots that reflect confidence, approachability, and brand consistency.  Here are my best tips to help you prepare for a smooth and successful corporate session.

Tip #1: Invest in Consistency

Headshots are often the first thing people see when they look up your business on LinkedIn, your website, or marketing materials.  A cohesive set of professional images helps your team look united and your brand look polished.  I help you choose the right style and backdrop so every photo aligns with your company’s image.

Tip #2: Choose the Right Setting

I bring my mobile studio setup to you.  We can get shots in my “studio,” outdoors, or in a specific location within your business.  Think about what best reflects your brand.  A clean, professional backdrop?  A modern office vibe?  Or something more natural and relaxed?  I’ll help you decide what works best.

Tip #3: Plan Ahead and Keep It Simple

Corporate sessions run most smoothly when the schedule is organized in advance.  I’ll work with you to coordinate timing so your team isn’t waiting around and you’re not juggling calendars at the last minute.  I can even help break larger teams into mini time blocks so everyone has space to shine.

Tip #4: Give Your Team a Heads-Up

I’ll provide a prep guide you can send to your team that includes:

  • What to wear (think solid colors, simple patterns, and company-appropriate attire)

  • Grooming tips (hair, makeup, and facial hair guidance)

  • What to expect on the day of the shoot

When people know what to expect, they show up feeling more confident and ready.

Tip #5: Encourage a Positive Mindset

Most people feel nervous about being photographed, until we get started.  I’m known for helping people relax and even have fun during their session.  A few kind words from you as their leader go a long way as well.  Let them know this is an investment in both the company and in them.

Tip #6: Create a Simple Shot List

We’ll talk about the specific shots you need: individual headshots, team group photos, leadership portraits, or department groupings.  A quick shot list helps the session stay organized and ensures we don’t miss anything important.

Tip #7: Trust the Process

On the day of the session, I’ll arrive early to set up and find the best lighting.  I coach each person on posing and expression so they never have to figure it out on their own.  We will also preview images as we go so your team leaves knowing they got a great shot.

Tip #8: Make Image Selection Easy

After the session, I’ll send you a gallery of proofs for you to choose from.  You and your team can pick your favorites, and then I will professionally edit your images.  Final images will be on an online gallery for downloading, or I can provide images on a USB drive.

Tip #9: Use Your Headshots Everywhere

Your new headshots will be delivered as high-resolution digital files, sized for everything from websites and business cards to LinkedIn profiles and social media. I can also provide versions formatted specifically for different platforms if needed.

Tip #10: Keep It Up-To-Date

Professional headshots are one of the easiest ways to keep your brand image fresh.  I offer repeat sessions and update options for new hires or growing teams, so you always look current and cohesive.
