Growing Up Behind the Lens
I grew up with a camera in my hands. My father was a passionate hobbyist photographer, and our house had a darkroom where I learned to develop black and white film as a kid. Photography has been part of my life for as long as I can remember. From capturing wildlife and landscapes to exploring the intricate details of macro photography. You can see some of this work in my Fine Art Gallery.
But a couple of years ago, I made the decision to go professional, and I knew immediately that I wanted to specialize in headshots.
Why Headshots?
Why headshots? Because I love meeting new people and helping them tell their story. I love the moment when someone sees themselves in a photograph with new confidence, with a fresh perspective they've never had before. That transformation, from "I hate having my picture taken" to "Wow, that's really me?" That's what I'm here for.
As a member of Peter Hurley's Headshot Crew, I receive ongoing training and mentorship from one of the world's most respected headshot photographers. This means I'm constantly refining my technique, staying current with industry trends, and bringing the best practices to every session.
A Different Approach
But here's what might surprise you: I'm also a nurse in the same day surgery unit at our local hospital. Every day, I care for people during some of the most vulnerable and stressful moments of their lives. I help them feel calm, informed, and cared for.
That same approach carries into my photography. Whether you're nervous about being in front of the camera or simply want to look your absolute best, I'm here to guide you through the process with patience, encouragement, and a genuine desire to see you succeed.
